We’re hoping you find our website helpful in getting some paddling plans together. If it’s missing anything you need please call us any time and let us know. We would love to help. We do three things mainly; Kayak and paddle board rentals, lessons and guided tours. Pick your path below and we’ll see you on the beach.
Equipment Rentals

Our fleet of single and double fiberglass sea kayaks are hand made locally by Seaward, Atlantis and Delta Kayaks. Rentals are available from 4 hours to multiple days. Pack a snack and make a day of it.

Lessons

We offer “inhouse” intro lessons for both sea kayaking and stand up paddle boarding as well as Paddle Canada Certifications in both skill sets. Twenty plus years of Paddle Canada instructor experience to get you well on your way to exploring the worlds oceans.

We come from a wide variety of educational backgrounds and places, but we all share a profound love of paddle sports and outdoor adventure. CAM

A Halfmoon Sea Kayaks partner and Paddle Canada instructor, Cam has spent the last 24 years paddling on the Sunshine Coast. He comes from an extensive marine background in the West Coast tug boat industry and has paddled all over coastal British Columbia, including Atlin Lake, Haida Gwaii, Hakai Pass, and the Northern Gulf Islands.

CAMILLE

Camille grew up camping, hiking and paddling in Victoria and Vancouver, British Columbia. Camille is working on her Paddle Canada Level One Sea Kayak Skills certification and holds a Standard First Aid certification. As a BC native, she has explored much of the Pacific Northwest and moved to the Sunshine Coast this summer to learn how to instruct and guide.

CHARLA

Charla grew up paddling on Georgian Bay in Ontario working as an outdoor education facilitator and Paddle Canada canoe instructor. She holds an Outdoor Adventure Naturalist diploma, a Paddle Canada sea kayak instructor certification, Paddle Canada Level Three Sea Kayak Skills certification, and a Wilderness First Responder certification. Charla enjoys SUP surfing, forest foraging, hula hooping, and teaching Nordic skiing. She has been guiding and teaching on the Sunshine Coast since 2019.

GRIFFIN

Griffin grew up paddling around Lake Erie in Port Dover, Ontario. He graduated as an Outdoor Adventure Naturalist and holds Paddle Canada Level Two Sea Kayaking Skills Certification, Paddle Canada Lake Tandem Canoe Instructor Certification, Level Two Swift Water Rescue Training, and a Wilderness First Responder Certification. Griffin has worked as an Outdoor Adventure Guide across Canada since 2017, and he looks forward to spending his summer on the Sunshine Coast as Sea Kayak guide and instructor, while working towards his Level One instructor course. Outside of work, Griffin enjoys fishing, rock climbing, photography, camping, cooking, and anything to do with the outdoors.

MARIAH

Mariah grew up paddling rivers in southern Ontario and working as an outdoor education facilitator. She holds a community development and environmental studies degree, Paddle Canada Level Two Sea Kayak Skills certification, and an advanced wilderness first aid certification. Mariah enjoys kayak tripping, hiking, slacklining, and climbing. She has been guiding on the Sunshine Coast since 2021.
